Inside Aquilae Base main briefing room

| Stepping back a little in the chronology of recently illustrated events in Episode VII : Plague of Doom, this is the opening shot for the main briefing room in Aquilae Base on Mon Calamar. |
| While Leia and the droids prepare their presentation of their findings on Imperial-held Kessel, Luke and the other Jedi, with King Oxus of Ondos and his niece Alana Seren, look on from the back. In one corner, the generals quietly discuss final points. Lando appears from the medi-bay and greets Han, who asks how he's feeling following the effects of the aura gas plague. They then comment on the absence of Mon Mothma, who has been busy liaising with prospective senators to help re-instate the Senate on Coruscant. |

| For this image, I obviously took inspiration from the Home One briefing room seen in ROTJ, but wanted to imply that part of the chamber was shaped from the live coral ; the seating, for example, would be soft cushioning stone. I also took inspiration from the old classical amphitheatre stadia, with the stone seating. And the glazing girders came from the illustration for Han and Leia's private quarters, seen earlier in the story. |
