Merry Christmas from the Imperial Remnant !

| The update for december and january will showcase the villains of the VE-ST, the Imperials and their Sith overlords. Yes, those tyranical and insidious Sith continue to maul away at the poor galaxy in a monstrous and chaotic fashion leading our heroes on a merry chase. |
| First up is Commander Kane who has been tasked by his master to oversee the plague of doom that will subjugate the galaxy into willing and passive drones. |

Operating from a hidden fortress and strong-arming the gangster underworld, Kane delights in bending others' to his will. A merciless and calculating military leader who once served under General Veers, even his own men fear his decisions.
Kane is 'played' by the british actor Pete Postlethwaite, of the Markham & Froggatt Agency. |
| David Bowers 'returns' to his role as Mas Amedda, formerly Palpatine's Senate Aid, now stepped into the deceased leader's role as acting Emperor. Whilst Palpatine was on the Second Death Star overseeing the entrapment of the rebel alliance, Amedda ensured that the political bureacracy of the Galaxy continued without interruption from Coruscant. Although the Imperial Senate had been disbanded just shortly before the destruction of Alderaan, the machinery of government still had to function, and did so directly from the Imperial Palace. |

| When news spread that the Second Death Star had been destroyed, killing both Palpatine and his evil henchman Lord Vader, Coruscant cheered, but Amedda quickly moved to restore order. Erstwhile senator and rebel alliance leader Mon Mothma led the new Galactic Alliance in demanding his removal from office, and harried his unpopular position from their hidden base on Mon Calamar. |

| However, self-styled Emperor Amedda held fast to his absolute power, and refused to vacate the throne. The Royal Guard and stormtroopers defended the Palace, which was the former Jedi Temple, inhabited by Palpatine to exhibit his success over the fabled rebellion by the so-called guardians of peace and justice. Amedda's proclamations and audiences were rarely carried out away from the safety of the Palace, and to many, Amedda was only ever viewed as a recording or a hologram. |
| Towards the end of Episode VII, Master Jedi Luke Skywalker enters the Imperial Palace in search of his quarry. Ascending the Royal Tower, one of four surrounding the central comms tower, a robed figure enters the Throneroom. |

| Luke finds himself in the chamber of the former Jedi Council, and gazes upon a familiar looking chair. A frieze, statuary, and a bloodred carpet complete the lair of his enemy, Palpatine. Over 30 years previously, his father Anakin first stood before the Executive Masters Yoda, Windu, and Koon ; twelve years later, Anakin - Sith Lord Vader - helped betray and murder the Younglings and their masters. The chamber appears empty, but the Jedi Master can sense the history emanating from the walls. |

| Further details have now been released regarding the Celebration Europe event in London, matching the similar event (the fourth !) in North America. Although still early days, their website has been launched promising further details to come. |
