A brief rundown of what has been revealed !
22nd July 2003
Pablo Hidalgo's onset diary feature from the Official Site's 'Hyperspace' continues to be the best aspect of the subscription service ! Along with tantalising glimpses via the WebCam and tidbits revealed in the crew online chats, they reward the visitor with what the next and final episode holds for us !
From a last-minute re-location of a scene to a Coruscant theatre, to an 'open' palace meeting chamber ; from set inversion to visiting known but as-yet-unseen locales ; from ten landing platforms to the use of wind machines ; from friendly camaraderie to clandestine meetings ; from a golden protocol droid to a new alien enemy .... already Episode III is taking shape, and its shape, to be honest, is surprising many people !
Meanwhile, long-time forumer, Indy500, has written up a well-argued speculative theory that offers a suggestion as to how George Lucas might close his Prequel Trilogy ... and lead it into the Original. I am in the process of presenting it here at the VE.net, and hope to have that completed for the beginning of august ....

Fan artwork inspired by the Hyperspace WebCam !
9th July 2003
The new 'Hyperspace' WebCam feature has been inspiring our forumers with artwork ! Ben Christensen, Darth Michael, and Jedi Jackson have put mouse to software, and created some great pieces ! Recently, at 17:41:20 on the 30th of june 2003, we had a glimpse of Anakin Skywalker in an Episode III setting ! This single image has brought forth much speculation, as well as artwork.
Click on the image to go to the Art Gallery ! Ben Christensen has produced this stunning image based on that picture, and we see that this Sith-Lord-to-be is certainly a force to be reckoned with !
Other recent news has further information concerning Wookiees, and X-Wing Fighters !

Could THIS be a scene in Episode III ?!
1st July 2003
A Corellian corvette escorted by the new TIE fighters run the Trade Federation blockade !
Back in mid-june, Episode-X revealed spy reports of two familiar spaceships returning to the Star Wars galaxy : what will be known as the rebel blockade runner and the Imperial TIE fighter !
In the first truly Official Virtual Edition of an Episode III image, based on production reports, could we be seeing a scene where a Corellian corvette, escorted by protoype TIE fighters, is running a Trade Federation blockade ?! Though the report, and my interpretation, may be wrong, it remains in the spirit of the site originally set up by Roderick Vonhögen back in 1997 ! Click on the image above to see a larger version !
Fansite Web Maestro T'Bone emailed me recently to promote his involvement with the fan film 'SIlent But Deadly 2'. You can see more details about it here.
Oh, and Star Wars Episode III began principal photography yesterday, monday the 30th of june 2003. It will be a studio-bound production, with locations, Italy, Switzerland, and New Zealand, being used for effects 'plate' photography.
